Betty J. Husk (nee: Jones) 77, of Elyria passed away Saturday March 11, 2017 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center following a long illness. She was born December 12, 1939 in Westerville, OH. Betty loved spending time with her family , especially cooking during the holidays. She enjoyed trips to the casinos, gardening, motorcycling, and loved her dogs. Survivors include her husband of thirty nine years; Harry E. Jr., a daughter; Janet S. Lawrence of Cleveland, a step daughter; Kathy Halajcio of Pittsburgh, PA, four sons; Ray Carte (Judith) of Elyria, Jimmy Carte of Elyria, James Husk of North Ridgeville, Harry Husk III of Crucible, PA., five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by a son; Michael Carte, her parents; Donald and Ruth (nee: Flennigan) Jones, a sister; Charlotte, a brother; Gene. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Wednesday March 15, 2017 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be at 1:30 PM immediately following visitation. Pastor Erwin Jones will officiate.
