Betty J. Chisar, (nee-Malindzak), 79, of Elyria passed away Monday January 1, 2018 at her home following a long illness. She was born January 3, 1938 in Weston, WV.. Betty was a Registered Nurse for 30 years, retiring from St. Vincent's Hospital in Cleveland 2003. Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia (Charles) Hammons and Liz (Thomas) Williams; grandchildren, Charlie, Jennifer, Jacob, Ian and Hope; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Tanner and Brody. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse and a daughter, Dr. Sandra. The family will receive friends Thursday January 4, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 3:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Specialists 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
