Betty M. Brown, (nee-Scheibel), 94, of Elyria passed away Sunday December 8, 2013 at the Lifecare Center of Elyria following a long illness. She was born May 7, 1919 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Betty was the owner of the former Betty's Beauty Shop in Elyria. She also worked at the former Bauer Dairy in Elyria and was a avid sports fan. Survivors include her daughter, Karla (Greg) Buck of Elyria; grandsons, Rodney (Karen) Ott of Bay Village and Jeffrey (Susan) Ott of Vermilion; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Ott, McKenna Coyle, Samantha Ott, Jakob Ott and Dylan Ott. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Brown in 2004, infant son, Ronald James Brown in 1941 and a sister, Dorothy Simmons. There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Memorial contributions can be made to New Life Hospice 3700 Kolbe Rd. Lorain, OH. 44053.
