Betty A. Baracskai, 90, of Elyria passed away Saturday December 23, 2023 at Danbury of North Ridgeville following a long illness. She was born July 4, 1933 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Betty worked for many years in accounts receivable at the R.W. Beckett Company in North Ridgeville, retiring in 2007. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria and was very active at the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elyria. Betty enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading and traveling the world. Survivors include numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary (nee-Bakos) Baracskai. Friends will be received Friday December 29, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Weigand Room at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of the Church. The Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Elyria Public Library 1194 West River Rd. North, Elyria, OH. 44035.
