Barbara A. Stydnicki, (nee-Yarish), 88, of Grafton passed away Friday at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born April 10, 1936 in Elyria and was a lifelong Grafton resident. Barb was employed for 30 years as a Display Manager at Sears in Elyria, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, was a 1954 graduate of Keystone High School and attended Kent State University for 1 year. Prior to working at Sears, she worked at the Elyria Public Library where she was known as "The Library Lady". She also formed the Gibson Girls Singing Group and also the Skylarks Singing Group. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Bernard "Ben" and step-son, Stacy Stydnicki. She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, SuAnne Fraconna and brother, John Yarish Jr.. There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 17, 2024 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie St., Grafton. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold will be the Celebrant. Private burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. Arrangements are entrusted to the  Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elyria.
