Barbara Elaine Terrell (nee Wacker), passed away on January 30, 2022. She was born on January 4, 1939 to Arlene (nee Amenhauser) and Perry Wacker (both deceased) in Elyria, OH Barbara worked in the banking industry most of her career. She was very involved in her church and was named an Elder for Life at Washington Avenue Christian Church. She was a longtime volunteer and Board of Director at the Elyria Salvation Army. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband Orville Terrell, and stepsons Greg and David Terrell. She was the loving mother of Todd Hyder (Catherine) and Lisa Sexton. She is survived by her grandchildren, Shelly Hyder, Katie Stevens, and Mitchell Hyder; great-grandchildren Cameron, Cooper, and Oliver; her sister Sandra Schmidt (James deceased) and cousin Elaine Petrykowski (James), step-daughter Susan Leichty; 8 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Jeannie Smith (Joseph); brother-in-laws Robert and Donald. Barbara was an aunt, cousin, and friend. Private family graveside will be in River Rd. Cemetery, LaGrange. The Rev. Nathan Russell will officiate. In lieu of flowers, family suggests those who wish may make donations to the Elyria Salvation Army or Washington Avenue Christian Church. Arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria, 440-322-4626.
