Barbara (Chesmar) Strickler, was born April 16, 1932 at Elyria Memorial Hospital. She graduated from Elyria High School in 1950 and worked at Fazio's Grocery Store from 1950 to 1970. She married Richard Strickler in June 1954. She had two sons; James and Rick in 1957 and 1961. Barbara enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and also working on church projects like rummage sales, craft shows, Vacation Bible School, and funeral luncheons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dick, on June 6, 2021, and her parents Jim and Dolly. Memorial contributions, if desired, in Barbara's name can be sent to St. John Church 1140 North West River Road Elyria, Ohio 44035. There will be no visitation or service per Barb's request.
