Barbara R. Powers (nee: Schneppe) 75, of Elyria passed away at home on Sunday March 24, 2024 following a brief illness.  She was born May 18, 1948 in Elyria.  Barbara had worked as Assistant to the President/ Human Resources Director for Q-Lab for thirty years, she enjoyed travel and reading.  Survivors include her husband of fifty three years; Michael T. Powers, a daughter; Maggie M. Miller of Virginia, and two grandchildren; Henry and Sam Miller.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Ruth (nee: Hill) Schneppe, and a brother; Larry Schneppe.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday April 6, 2024 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
