Barbara R. Reed, (nee-Hall), 94, of Elyria passed away Saturday March 12, 2022 at Holy Family Home in Parma. Barbara was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed fellowship and nurturing her faith. She grew up on a farm and became a wonderful homemaker who shared her love through cooking and baking. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music, sewing and cross stich. She loved Florida, traveling, and camping and was a member of the Holliday Ramblers Club. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and Gigi. She brought joy and sunshine to those around her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Reed in 2019 and sister, Ellen Kleefeld. Survivors include her son, Donald (Amy) Chalmers, daughters, Bonnie Bott and Tamara (Dennis) Durant and step-children, Dennis (Gail) Reed and Gayle Maynes, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday March 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
