Barbara J. Grieve (nee: Rook) 79, of LaGrange passed away Saturday September 8, 2012 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a long illness. She was born June 1, 1933 in Huntington Twp., OH. Barbara was had worked as a mail carrier for twenty years with the United States Postal Service. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton. Barbara treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, reading, watching sports, and trivia. Survivors include six daughters; Karen Thornsbury (Gary) of Trinity, AL., Cheryl Gardner (Doug) of LaGrange Twp., Susan Yousko (Steve) of Sedona, AZ., Debbie Gall (John) of Oberlin, Lori Christine Stefancin (Kenneth) of Homerville, Jennifer Myers (Jeff) of Spencer, two sons; Joseph (Patti) of Wellington, Timothy (Cherylann) of Penfield Twp., additional survivors include twenty grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two sisters; Jayne Weidrick (Allen) of Spencer, Debbie Hayden (Ken) of Sarasota, FL., and a brother; Larry Rook (Juane) of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her husband; Claude, a son; David, a grandchild; Colin Myers, a great grandchild; Faith Lee, and her parents; Wilbur and Aileen (nee: Regal) Rook. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 Noon Tuesday September 11, 2012 at the church. Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Grafton.
