Barbara Anne Bungard

Barbara Anne Bungard (nee: Sensback) 89 of Elyria passed away Thursday August 13, 2026 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born May 17, 1937 in Elyria where she was a lifelong resident. Barbara worked as a Realtor for many years, retiring from Howard Hanna Real Estate Services in 2018; she was a member of St. Jude Church where she enjoyed singing in the traditional choir and participated in many other ministries. Her greatest joy was being “Nana” and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her children; Brian Bungard (Margaret), Elizabeth Schuster, Steven Bungard, Susie Bungard, Lisa Redding (Dwayne).

Additional survivors include her grandchildren; Michelle Martin, Matthew (Pamela) Bungard, Jordana Bungard, Mikayla Bungard, Emily Roberts (Aaron), Ethan Schuster, Julia Schuster, Blake Bungard, Alexandra Bungard, Rosalie and Donovan Bungard, Christine Frey, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and brother in laws; Doyle Jones and Tom Bungard and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; Edwin Sensback and Martha (nee: Horan) Stephen and Sister, Mary Ellen Hatfield as well as former Husband, Donald Bungard.

The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Friday August 21, 2026 at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 AM Saturday August 22, 2026 at St. Jude Church 590 Poplar St. Elyria, OH 44035 where The Reverend Father Jose Fifin, CSJ, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Please meet at the church. Burial will be private at St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria.

The family suggests that memorial contributions in Barb’s memory be sent to St. Jude Church or to Multiple Breed Rescue 37305 Royalton Rd. Grafton, OH 44044.
