Barbara J. Runser (nee: Baldwin) 86, of Elyria, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, September 20, 2024.  She was born March 21, 1938 at home in Melvin, OH.  Barbara was a registered nurse and worked with her husband, the late Dr. Richard F. Runser.  She had attended First United Methodist in Elyria. Barbara enjoyed time with family and friends, making jewelry, fishing, and tennis.  Survivors include her children: Dr. Gregory L. Runser (Carol), Richard P. Runser (Kathleen), and Randy K. Runser (Amy).  Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Travis, Jillian, Chelsey, Matthew, Payton, Ryan, Reese, and sister, Deanna Hackett. In addition to her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Runser; her parents, Leo and Mary (nee: Rock) Baldwin; four sisters: Janet, Connie, Nancy, Kathy; and three brothers: Richard, Harold, and David Baldwin. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626. Funeral services and burial will be private at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
