Barbara J. Ahart (nee Parsons) 85 of Grafton passed away Tuesday January 21, 2015 at UH Elyria Medical Center. She was born May 11 , 1929 in Newell , W. Virginia. Barbara was a resident of Lorain County since 1953. She worked for the Nordson Corporation as a machine operator. Barbara loved Gardening , Bird watching , her dogs and her Grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 35 years John , daughters Sandy Bender of Lorain , Debbie Rising of Bailey Lake, Oh., sons Jim (Diane) of Elyria , Fredrick (Bonnie) of Elyria, Donald (Hazel) of Moncks Corner, S. Carolina , John (Becky) of Bremerton, Washington ,brother Robert (Lanata) Parson of La Grange, 22 grandchildren and over 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Virginia (nee Whipkey), sisters Thelma Eagle , Pat Blackburn , brother Chuck.
