Aurora B. Miclat, MD, (nee-Bartolome), 70, of Elyria passed away Thursday March 19, 2015 at her home following a long illness. She was born January 11, 1945 in Gerona, Tarlac, Philippines and was a Elyria resident since 1971. Dr. Miclat had a private practice in Elyria for 35 years, retiring in 2010. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was one of the first female fellows for peripheral vascular disease at the Cleveland Clinic. Aurora was a very charitable woman and upon her retirement traveled the world. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Romeo Miclat, MD; sons, Joseph (Marie) Miclat of Westlake and David (Milagros) Miclat of Orlando, FL.; grandchildren, Madeleine and Francesca; sisters, Socorro Tachibana, Celina Libongco and Angelina San Mateo; brothers, Jose, Edgardo and Reynaldo Bartolome. She was preceded in death by a brother, Renigno Bartolome. The family will receive friends on Monday March 23, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a Christian Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Church 590 Poplar St., Elyria. The Rev. Fr. Frank P. Kosem, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private. In liue of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio 2831 Prospect Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44115-2606.
