Audrey E. Reising, (nee-Ives), 88, of Elyria passed away at sunrise on Saturday March 30, 2019 at O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville. She was born July 3, 1930 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Audrey graduated from Elyria High School in 1949, and was a graduate of the former M.B. Johnson School of Nursing. She worked at Elyria Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse for 40 years, retiring in 1995. She attended Community of Faith United Church of Christ, and was active in many organizations. Survivors include her daughter, Diane (Steve) Hudnall; sons, Dennis (Jo Ellen) Reising, Dave (Lynn) Reising and Dan (Toni) Reising; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Jane) Ives; longtime friend, Joe Cebula; sister-in-law, Carol Ives; brother-in-law, Fuzz Reising. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Reising, sister, Beverly Reising, brothers, Richard and Lawrence Ives and longtime friend, Leo Komisarz. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday April 4, 2019 in the funeral home. The Rev. Kathy Ketchum, pastor of Community of Faith United Church of Christ will Officiate. Burial will be at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Memorial contributions are welcomed in her name to Birthright of Lorain County or to the Lorain Chapter of the Free Clinic.
