Arthur D. "Art" Cerney, 86, of Elyria, passed away peacefully at O'Neill Healthcare in Bay Village on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Art was born in Cleveland to parents Joseph and Anna (nee: Wasielewski) on February 6, 1939. He proudly served his country as a radio operator in the U.S. Army before marrying his sweetheart, Linda (nee: Garrett) on October 4, 1969. Art worked for many years as a railroad clerk and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, sons, Eric (Kelly), Jason (Shannon); grandchildren, Dominique (Kevin) Cooper, Skyler Cerney, Adrianna (Christian) Clark, Shawn Gilbert; great-grandchildren, Olivia Clark, Julian and Jaxon GIlbert.
