Arnold R. Sanders 87, of Elyria passed away Monday June 18, 2012 at Center Ridge Health Campus following a brief illness. He was born September 24, 1924 in Wallins Creek, KY. Arnold had served in the Navy, and retired from Midview Schools as an Industrial Engineer. He was a member of Church of the Open Door, and was very family centered. Arnold enjoyed spending time with his family, talking with and helping people, he liked playing his guitar, building and creating were a few of his passions. Survivors include his wife of sixty three years; Delorise (nee: Barber), a daughter; Diana L. Mercurio of Elyria, additional survivors include six grand children, six great grandchildren, and a brother; Pastor Jesse Sanders (Nell) of Sullivan, OH. Arnold was preceded in death by a son; James in 1978, and his parents; William and Chloria (nee: Sears) Sanders, and several brothers and sisters.
