Arlene K. Zimmer (nee Schulte),94, of Elyria passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Abbewood. She was born November 17, 1924 in Millbury,OH. Arlene worked as a secretary for Midview Schools in the guidance office, served as the secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church for 50 years, and volunteered at Elyria Memorial Hospital for over 15 years. She loved traveling, reading, doing the daily crossword puzzle in the Chronicle Telegram, and especially being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters Debora (Robert) Wiersum, Dawn (Howard) Chavalia, Coni (Jeff) Lynch; grandchildren Eric Wiersum, Traci Krone, Greg Chavalia, Patrick Chavalia, Amy Kuhn, Jared Lynch; great grandchildren, Madison, Abigail, Zach, Ryan, Emma, John, Ellie, Harper, and Camryn. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bud" Zimmer in 2006; parents Ed and Esther Schulte (nee Hagameyer); brothers Dale , Ken, Frank, Eddie; sister Ruth. There will be no visitation.
