Ardus Marie Fesler (nee Gillette) 100 of Elyria passed away Sunday March 9,2014 at the Wesleyan Village of Elyria after a long illness. She was born January 9 , 1914 in Atlas , Michigan. She was a 1932 graduate of St. Marys High School in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Ardus had owned the Heights Drive In , she also worked for Bendix , Greyhound and Office of the Older Adults as a cook until her retirement. Ardus belonged to the VFW Auxillary , American Auxillary , Moose Auxillary , and the Eagles Auxillary. She was a longtime member of St. Judes, Elyria , she enjoyed Floral arranging and cooking. Survivors include daughter Virginia Crowder of Cleveland , sons Thomas and David, 6 grandchildren , 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Marge Gillette. she was preceded in death by her husband George , daughter Juliette Weekly and brother Arba Gillette. Family will receive friends Sunday March 16 , 2014 from 1PM until time of service at 2PM at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
