Anthony J. "Tony" Jezewski Jr. 86, of Elyria passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday March 15, 2020 following a long illness. He was born October 29, 1933 in Elyria where he was a lifelong resident. Tony was an Elyria Catholic High School graduate, and had served in the U.S. Army. He had worked as a truck driver for Roadway Express. Tony was a past President for The Elyria United Polish Club, and a member of AMVETS Post #32 and Senior Fellowship Club. Survivors include daughters; Laurie Kies of Elyria, Susan Homoki (Mike) of Grafton, Marianne Prete (Robert) of Vermilion, Judy Lundberg (Grant) of Cary, NC, Anne Marie Jezewski (Phillip Thompson) of Elyria, Diane Sunagel (Bryan) of Elyria. Additional survivors include sixteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two brothers; Joe of Dothan, AL, Thomas of Elyria. Tony was preceded in death by his wife; Patricia J. (nee: Milasky), a daughter; Linda, a son; Michael, his parents; Anthony J. Sr. and Stella (nee: Vauzinsak), and two brothers; Lawrence and John. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Wednesday March 18, 2020 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday March 19, 2020. The Reverend Father Charles T. Diedrick, Pastor of St. Mary Church will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Tony's memory may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
