Anthony James Campagna 82, of Elyria passed away Friday July 6, 2012 following a short illness at The Abbewood in Elyria. He was born May 27, 1930 in Lakewood and moved to Elyria in 1958. Anthony served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 in Korea. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in Avon Lake following thirty one and a half years of service. Anthony was a member of St. Mary Church where he volunteered with Hot Meals, and Men's Fellowship. He was a loving husband, attentive father, and devoted grandfather. He grew up and worked on the family farm, and loved gardening. Anthony enjoyed travel; most recently to Sicily. He never met a person he didn't like. Survivors include two daughters; Carolyn Kantor (Robert) of Parkland, FL, Joan Campagna (Cuca Curbelo) of Miami, FL, a son; Paul Campagna (Dimitra) of Grafton. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren; Anthony and Athena Campagna, Arin (Julia) and Blayne Lipman (fiance' Alana Schneider), Mason Kantor, Kiara, Eva, and Yani Curbelo, two great grandchildren; Chaim and Shmuel Lipman, three sisters; Mary Banjoff (the late Frank) of Avon Lake, Josephine Myers (the late Ken), Frances Greco (John) of Wickliffe. Anthony was preceded in death by his wife of forty four years; Marian (nee: Kozel), his parents; Augustino and Frances (nee: Guzzaldo) Campagna, and a brother; Joseph Campagna (the late Margaret).
