Annie Y. Overy, (nee-Marty), 75, of Grafton passed away Friday January 25, 2013 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain following a brief illness. She was born April 10, 1937 in Mineral Wells, WV. And was a Grafton resident since 1947. Annie was a secretary for the Midview Local School District for 16 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Grafton United Methodist Church, a 1956 Midview High School graduate, an avid Midview sports fan and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Robert Overy Sr.; daughter, Yvonne France of Springboro, OH; sons, Brian of Woodstock Ga., Jay, Robert Jr., and Gary, all of Grafton; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brother, Roy Marty of Amherst. The family will receive friends Tuesday 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Delaine McGhee, pastor of Grafton United Methodist Church will Officiate. Burial will be private.
