Annette Louise Chobody, beloved sister and aunt, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Born in NuMine, PA. on July 27, 1949 to Joseph and Anna (nee-Kormos) Chobody, the family moved to Lorain County, Ohio where Annette lived the remainder of her life. After graduating from Midview High School, Annette earned her nursing degree and spent decades helping others in hospitals and care facilities throughout the area. She was a devout member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Elyria. As a self-taught guitarist, Annette provided music during church Masses. A camera buff since college days, Annette captured the lives of her nieces, nephews and other family members on film and video creating priceless memories. "Aunt Nenna" was a loving and supportive aunt and great-aunt. She was kind and understanding, never passing judgement but always ready to encourage, listen and help in any way she could. She gave wholeheartedly and without reserve. Her joy, her laughter, her compassion and caring will be greatly missed but never forgotten. She was preceded in death by sisters JoAnne Chobody, Barbara Hockenberry, Betty Pamley and her brother Joe. Annette is survived by sisters, Mary Keating of Weston, CT., Cecelia Butdorf of Avon Lake and Helene Chobody of Wellington, brother James of Wellington, her twin brother John of Rochester, NH. and her beloved nieces and nephews whom she cared for as if they where her own children. At her request, there will be no calling hours. The family will hold a private Celebration of Her Life at a later date.
