Anne B. Bansek, (nee-Skarecky), 90, of Elyria passed away Thursday March 26, 2015 at her home following a sudden illness. She was born July 4, 1924 in Lorain and was a Elyria resident for most of her life. In her later years, Anne crocheted hats for hundreds of cancer patients. Survivors include her daughter, Noreen Seckt of Elyria; sons, Ted (Sally) Bansek of Grafton and Tom Bansek of Elyria; grandchildren, Mandy, Nicole, Michael and Angela; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted in 1970, granddaughter, Laura Bansek, sister, Mary Martin and brother, Tony Skarecky. A Christian Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Monday April 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church 41295 North Ridge Rd., Elyria. The Rev. Fr. Donald Dunson will be the Celebrant. Private Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. In liue of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League 8303 North Murray Ridge Rd. Elyria.
