Anna Dora, (nee-Nimsch), 88, of Elyria passed away Tuesday May 5, 2026 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Olmsted.

She was born April 10, 1938 in Szar, Hungary and lived for most of her life in Elyria.

Anna enjoyed gardening, flowers, animals, dancing and children, she formerly babysat children from her neighborhood.

Survivors include her son, Alex Dora Jr. of Elyria; daughter, Anna (Robert) Gerhart of Sheffield Lake; grandchildren, Eric Gerhart of Elyria, Matthew Gerhart of North Ridgeville, Deborah Gerhart of North Ridgeville and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alex in 1990.

The family will receive friends Wednesday May 13, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.

The Rev. John P. Seabold Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton will Officiate.

Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
