Ann W. Vermilye (nee: Wilene Riggle) 74, of North Ridgeville went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 26, 2014 following a long illness. She was born October 2, 1939 in South Bend, IN, and graduated from West Tech High School in 1958. Ann earned a degree in Financial Planning from Cleveland State University. She owned and operated her own business as a Financial Planner/Advisor for twenty seven years. Ann enjoyed the membership and friendship of The Azurites (former classmates since 1952). She was a straightforward, no nonsense person, who always strived to help other people. Ann never had a bad thing to say about anyone. May she always be in the hearts of those who knew her. Survivors include her loving husband of fifty four years; Gerald "Jerry" Vermilye whom she married September 24, 1960. Loving memories will be carried on by her children; Michael (Nancy nee; Kowalski), and Brian (Barb nee: Branning), her loving grandchildren; Dennis, Cindy, Danielle, Spencer and Abbie, and many nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; William and Mildred (nee: Rogers) Riggle, a sister; Wanda Tilden, and two brothers William and Wallace Riggle. A Celebration of Ann's life will be at 11:00 AM Friday October 3, 2014 at The LaPorte United Methodist Church 2071 Grafton Rd. Elyria, OH 44035 where Rev. Bill Wendell will officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ann's memory can be sent to Hospice of The Western Reserve of Lorain County 2173 North Ridge Rd. East Suite H Lorain, OH 44055.
