Andrew E. Patterson, 74, of Elyria passed away Monday at Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland following a sudden illness. He was born October 13, 1937 in Akron and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Andrew worked at the Ford Motor Company in Brookpark for 32 years, retiring in 1988 as a tow motor operator. He served in the Ohio National Guard and enjoyed spending time with family. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Charlotte (nee-Holl); daughters, Laura Patterson and Shari (John) Lane both of Elyria; sons, Richard Patterson and Steven Patterson both of Elyria and David (Tammy) Patterson of Wellington; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Patterson, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
