Andrea Michelle Lawson 47 of Raleigh N. Carolina formerly of Oberlin passed away unexpectedly Monday November 14, 2016 at her residence. She was born May 20 , 1969 in Oberlin. She was a graduate of Elyria High School , received her bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University and obtained her Master of fine arts degree from Virginia Tech. Andrea was music , dance and Community enrichment director for the State of North Carolina. She enjoyed the arts , was a violist and a Tupperware radiant diva. Andrea lives on through her family mother Roberta (nee Harris) of Louisville, Ky. , sister Kimberly Lawson of Little Rock, Ark. , brother Lance M. Lawson of Louisville, Ky. Several godchildren , cousins , many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Lawson. Family will receive friends 4-8PM Monday November 21, 2016 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
