Amy B. Thompson (nee: Churchill) 51, of Elyria Township passed away Tuesday October 11, 2016 at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland following a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born June 17, 1965 in Lorain. Amy was a 1983 Elyria West High School graduate. She worked in banking as a loan officer and ascended to the position of Operations Manager. Amy was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. She treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending her sons baseball games, weekends with friends camping, scrap booking, taking pictures. Amy baked the best damn chocolate chip cookies, and loved spending time at the ocean with her husband. Survivors include her husband of twenty two years; Steven M. Thompson, a daughter; Shelby R. Thompson of Elyria Twp., two sons; Joshua S. Thompson (Crystal) of Carlisle Twp., Zachary M. Johnson (Megan) of Elyria, additional survivors include her grandchildren; Hailey, Gage, Tenley; and more on the way! Her mother; Lorrie R. Churchill (nee: Picione) of Lorain, three sisters; Angelle Churchill of Elyria, Catherine Vargo (Joseph) of Elyria, Carla Wagner (Rick) of LaGrange, two brothers; Clinton Churchill of Elyria, Christopher Churchill of Lorain. Amy was preceded in death by her father; Clinton R. Churchill.
