Amanda L. House, 19, of Columbia Station passed away Tuesday April 21, 2015. She was born August 22, 1995 in Cleveland and was a lifelong Columbia Station resident. Amanda was a 2013 graduate of Midview High School and worked as a nursing assistant at Avon Oaks Nursing Home. She was currently enrolled in the nursing program at Lorain County Community College and enjoyed being with her family and friends and taking care of others. Survivors include her parents, Mike and Chrissy (nee-Clark) House of Columbia Station; brothers, Mikey, Nicky and Matthew House all living at the family's home; maternal grandmother, Patricia Clark; paternal grandmother, Beverly House; many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Tuesday April 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Chuck Behrens, Chaplain of Hospice of the Western Reserve will Officiate. Burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township. In leui of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Amanda L. House memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
