Alma Virginia Block-Corrigan (nee Moore), 92, of Elyria passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain. She was born June 11, 1925 in Normantown, W.VA. and was a graduate of Normantown High School. Alma worked at First Merit Bank as an Assistant Personnel Director until her retirement. She was a member of Church of the Open Door , and she enjoyed golfing and traveling. Survivors include her daughters Sharon Jancar (Rudy-deceased) of Elyria and Patricia (David) Lenahan of Nashville, TN.; 1 grandchild Jillian Jancar Cepek(Don); 2 great grandchildren Aaron and Zachary Cepek; brother Emery F. Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents Emery Sr. and Dorothy Moore (nee Vanhorn); daughter Deborah Block; sisters Alta Sumpter, Ava Belknap, Thelma Shaver, and Geraldine Piskuran; brothers Samuel, Frances , and Robert. Celebration of Life 11 AM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Church of the Open Door 43275 Telegraph Rd. Elyria, Ohio 44035. Pastor Bob Wickens will officiate. Burial Private.
