Allen L. "Pudge" McKinney 76, of Elyria passed away at UH Elyria Medical Center on Wednesday May 31, 2017. He was born April 27, 1941 in Doddridge County, WV. Pudge worked at Fisher Guide and General Motors Parma until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, NASCAR, and trips to casinos. Survivors include his wife of fifty three years; Barbara M. (nee: Pileski), six daughters; Cynthia J. McKinney of Elyria, Barbara E. King (John) of Vermilion, Colleen J. McKinney of Lexington, OH. Deanna L. Sees (Thomas) of Port Clinton, OH., Teresa M. Whitmore (Shannon) of Elyria, Holly D. Martin (Ryan) of Elyria, a son; Shawn A. McKinney of Lakewood. Additional survivors include eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four sisters; Carole Shaw of Albion, IL., Sharon Boyce of Wellsburg, WV., Terry McKinney of Elyria, April Hawley (Gerald) of Elyria, three brothers; Stephen (Joan) of Elyria, William (Dolly) of Elyria, Gregory of Elyria. Pudge was preceded in death by his parents; Aldine and Ruby (nee: Gatrell), a sister; Jeanette Clevenger. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Monday June 5, 2017 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where a Celebration of Pudge's Life will be held at 12:30 PM Tuesday June 6, 2017. Reverend Father Albert Veigas, Pastor of St. Agnes Church will officiate.
