Allen R. Deidrick, 78, of LaGrange passed away Sunday September 17, 2017 at Amherst Manor Retirement Community following a long illness. He was born May 12, 1939 in Lorain and was a lifelong LaGrange resident. Allen was a truck driver for E & L Transport for 20 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of House of Praise International Church in Lorain, was formerly employed at the American Ship Building Company in Lorain and enjoyed boating and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pat (nee-Nickeson); daughters, Therese Van Heuveln and Lisa (John) Eyring; son, Allen (Jackie) Deidrick; grandchildren, Timmy, Brittany and Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Tatum, Ryann Lola, Lincoln and Gianna; daughter-in law, Sharon Deidrick, nieces, Marie, Catherine, Carrie and Cathy; nephews, Kenny, Johnny and Timmy; aunt, Lila. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Marie Deidrick and a brother, Raymond Deidrick. The family will receive friends Thursday September 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at the House of Praise International Church 4321 Elyria, Ave., Lorain.
