Alice J. Kasprzak, (nee-Kastner), 80, of Elyria passed away Wednesday June 10, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a brief illness. She was born March 16, 1935 in Lockport, NY., and was a Elyria area resident since 1985. Alice enjoyed being involved with her granddaughters dance competitions and was affectionately known as "Dance Grandma". Survivors include her daughters, Kathryn (Nicholas) Rizzo, Janet Barstow, Mary Shaw, Ruth Kasprzak, Karen (James) Talabac and Gloria (Bo) Nikolic; sons, David (Becky) Kasprzak Jr. and James (Tiffany) Kasprzak; son-in-law, Kenneth Krystofik; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Sr. in 2010, daughter, Linda Krystofik in 2007 and granddaughter, Ashley Kasprzak in 1990. The family will receive friends Sunday 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Closing prayers will be Monday June 15, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville.
