Alice D. Cassady (nee: Dunn) better known as Darlene Cassady passed away May 17, 2012 at her home. Darlene was born in Kingman, AZ on June 28, 1941. Darlene was retired and had worked her last nine years at Apples in Elyria, which previous to that she was employed at Midway-Oh Boys for over twenty years. Darlene was a an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for the last seventeen years of her life; which not only helped better her life, but she was there to touch others lives as well. Without this program this column would have been written seventeen years earlier. Darlene is survived by her sons; Kevin L. Cassady (Patricia Cassady), Alex J. Cassady Jr. (Alicia Cassady) both of Elyria, Larry Cassady (Michelle) of Penfield, daughters; Deborah R. Murdoch (Robert) of Vermilion, Alice D. Cassady of Lorain, a sister; Sonja Terrell (nee: Gotham) of North Ridgeville (Wayne Terrell), husband; Alex J. Cassady Sr. Darlene was preceded in death by her brother; Edward Dunn, mother; Ruby Gotham (nee: Barnes), father; Albert Dunn. Darlene was the proud grandmother of fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; they were her spirit and light.
