Alice M. Baker, (nee-Machovina), 75, of North Ridgeville passed away Tuesday October 21, 2014 at her home following a brief illness. She was born February 24, 1939 in Cleveland and was a Elyria resident for most of her life. A 1957 Elyria Catholic High School graduate, Alice enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, shopping and was a avid San Diego Chargers football fan. Survivors include her daughters, Vicki Tomlinson (nee-Quinn) of Amherst and Trysh Quinn of North Ridgeville; son, Bill Baker of Carlsbad, CA.; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Ruth Kasper of Elyria; brothers, Don Machovina of North Royalton, Bob Machovina of Kingman, AZ., Jim Machovina and Tom Machovina both of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Baker in 2008, son, Jay Quinn in 1981 and her parents, Cyril and Blanche (nee-Gauchat) Machovina. The family will receive friends on Monday October 27, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Eric Gauchat, Alice's cousin will Officiate. Burial will be private.
