Alexandra Lee Morris, 22,of Grafton, Ohio, residing in North Olmsted, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at her home following a lengthy fight with osteosarcoma. She was born January 30, 1990 in Elyria, Ohio. Alexandra was raised in Grafton, Ohio and was a graduate of Midview High School in 2008. Upon her graduation she attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and was currently a senior, where she planned her major as a speech pathologist. Alex was in the work-study program at the University Library. Alex loved attending sporting events, in particular, Browns and Cavaliers, loved listening to music of all kinds, and was a devout animal lover. Alex had an unconquerable spirit and zest for living. Alex is survived by her mother Kelli Shaver of Atlanta, Ga., and her father Kenneth Morris of Ormond Beach, Fl.; her brother Steve Morris of Knoxville, Tn.; niece Ava Morris of Knoxville, Tn.; stepfather Robert Renz of N. Olmsted; step mother Lisa Morris of Osmond Beach,Fl.; grandfather David Shaver of Columbus, Ohio; stepsisters Jackie and Estelle Collins; and stepbrother Billy Lawton; many adored aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends; and her pets Snoop and Mewtain. Family and friends will gather on Friday March 30, 2012 from 11:00 AM to1:30 PM at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (440)322-4626) Elyria. Services will begin at 1:30 PM.
