Alexander "Sandy" Saddler, 91, of Elyria passed away Friday November 27, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Elyria following a brief illness. He was born October 26, 1924 in Westmoreland City, PA. and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Sandy worked as a Firefighter for the City of Elyria for 26 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Elyria, was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and was a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post 1079. Survivors include his sons, Glenn Saddler and Gary Saddler both of Elyria, and Gerald Saddler of Kissimmee, FL.; 1 grandchild. Companion, Stella Papuga; sisters, Jessie Hatten, Mary Stoulgh and Ethel Errett. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 1986 and a brother, William Saddler. Private services were held.
