Agnes F. Zaremba (nee Wirkner), 94 of Grafton passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born July 19, 1928 in Grafton. She was a 1946 graduate of Belden High School .She attended Dyke College and received a degree in Stenography. Agnes and Bob dated during High School and later married on May 13, 1950 at St. Martin's Church in Valley City. Agnes worked for Glidden Paint Co. in Cleveland, Mid- Continent in Elyria , McKesson Chemical and Kerr steamship in Cleveland. In her later years she worked at Immaculate Conception doing office work and typed the church bulletin, until her retirement. She was very active in the Altar and Rosary Society, and chaired many dinners, and was active in other groups as years went by. Agnes enjoyed traveling, flower and vegetable gardening, playing cards (66), and knitting.Survivors include her grandson, Keith (Barb) Diedrick of Traverse City, MI, son-in-law Ken (Mary Alice) Diedrick of LaGrange; sister, Eileen Fricke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter Linda Diedrick; parents, John and Emma (Walter) Wirkner; brother, Joe (Sylvia) Wirkner; sister, Lucille (Lad) Vassel; sister-in-law Shirley Hollis. Family will receive friends from 10AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie Street Grafton, OH 44044. Rev. Fr. John Seabold and Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick will con celebrate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery (Grafton). In lieu of flowers family suggests those who wish may make donations to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
