Obituary for Steve Csonka

Steve Csonka 92 of Elyria passed away peacefully at his residence on January18,2015. Steve was a lifelong resident of Elyria. He was born November 15, 1922 in Elyria. He was a graduate of Elyria High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's degree from Fenn College. Steve was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Corp of Engineers during World War II in the Pacific. Steve was the Vice-President of Timms Spring Co. in Elyria and upon his retirement served as President of Timms Spring Co. Steve was a member of the Elyria Country Club , Masons and was the President of Spring Manufacturers Institute.. He was an avid Fisherman and Golfer and loved nothing more than a round of Golf at the Elyria Country Club , where he played well into his 80's scoring four hole in ones.Survivors include his wife of 66 years Mary (nee Petrus) , son Jeff (Karen) of Copley, Ohio , 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Elizabeth Csonka , and son Mark. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Wendy's Heart for their incredible compassion and kindness in caring for Steve. NO VISITATION . ALL SERVICES WILL BE PRIVATE.. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations be made to the Hotsey Caddie Scholarship at the Elyria Country Club 41625 Oberlin Elyria Rd. Elyria, Oh. 44035.
