Obituary for Paul J. Rodjom Sr.

Paul J. Rodjom Sr., 88, of Elyria passed away Wednesday September 9, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Elyria following a brief illness. He was born January 30, 1927 in Donora, PA. and was a Elyria resident for 30 years, coming from Berea. Paul was employed as a mechanic for United Airlines for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria, a member of the Buckeye Chapter of the United Airlines Retiree's and enjoyed Big Band music. Survivors include his daughter, Susan (Steve) Gutfranski of Columbia Station; son, Paul (Cathy) Rodjom Jr. of North Royalton; grandchildren, Steven (Sarah), Holly, Kelly, Abbey and Alex; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Aria. He was preceded in death by his wife Constance " Connie" on September 26, 2009, sister, Mary Janoso and brothers, Mike and Joe Rodjom. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Closing Prayers will be Tuesday September 15, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church 320 middle Ave., Elyria. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN. 38105-1942.
