Obituary for Patricia Ann Moyer

Patricia Ann Moyer (nee: Provoznik) 85, of Dublin, Ohio (formerly of Elyria) passed away Tuesday July 28, 2020 at Ohio Health Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Patricia was born April 26, 1935 in North Ridgeville, Ohio in a house built by her father. She lived most of her life in Elyria, Ohio and moved to Delaware, Ohio in 2014. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Justin) Provoznik. Patricia graduated from Elyria High School with the class of 1953, married Ralph E. Moyer and together they raised their four children; Charles Moyer of Milwaukee, WI, Thomas Moyer(Terre) of Elyria, Ohio, John Moyer(Ariane) of Palos Verdes Estates, CA and Kathy Kessler (David) of Worthington, OH. Besides her children, Patricia is survived by her grandchildren Emily, Matthew, Andrew, Stephen, Saskia, Megan, Alexsandra, Justin, Thomas and Zachary and great grandson Earl. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jane Chizmar (ValJon) of Elyria, sister-in-law, Rosemary Provoznik of Florida and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Provoznik (1995), her mother, Mary Provoznik (2000), brothers JosephProvoznik (1992) HenryProvoznik( 1933), and Robert Provoznik (2016) and longtime companion, Lloyd A. Miller, (2013). Patricia was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Elyria where she was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society. She was also a member of The Moose Lodge and Golden Moose Club. Patricia was a member of Plum Creek Garden Club, Y-Maters Club and The Lorain County Asthma Support Group and Sourcepoint of Delaware County. She was an Avon representative for 15 years, a poll worker for the Board of Elections in Elyria for 36 years, and worked at the First Merit Bank community room for community organizations. Patricia spent time volunteering with Little League West, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts and at the YMCA in Elyria. She also volunteeredwith Lloyd Miller, transporting sick children to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Lexington, Ky. Her hobbies included flower gardening, crocheting, taking photographs, cake decorating and travelling to visit her children and their families in many amazing places such as Holland, Hong Kong, New York, Virginia, California and Hawaii. Patricia loved animals, especially her grand dogs and cats. She loved cheering for her favorite sports teams which included all of the Cleveland teams, OSU and The University of Cincinnati and the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed attending her class reunions, spending time at casinos in Ohio, Las Vegas and Atlantic City and going on senior trips. Patricia was very proud of her children and grandchildren. NO VISITATION. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Friday July 31, 2020 at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave. Elyria, Ohio. The Reverend Father Charles T. Diedrick, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Please meet at church. Covid 19 guidelines will apply, please wear a mask. Burial will be private at St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home of Elyria (440)322-4626. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Patricia’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Department 501, St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or The Franklin County Dog Shelter, 4340 Tamarack Blvd, Columbus, OH 43229.
