Obituary for Michael J. Komlosi

Michael J. Komlosi 77, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 29, 2021 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1943 in Fairview Park, Ohio. Michael was a Brookside High School graduate, and served in the U.S. Army. He had worked as a mill wright for U.S. Steel, Spitzers and the Metro Parks. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending concerts at Black River Landing in Lorain, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, loved knot tying. Survivors include his wife; Carolyn E. (nee: Gardinsky), a daughter; Michelle M. Komlosi of Elyria, three sons; Terence M. (Michelle) of Elyria, Mark E. (Leighann) of Hillard, OH., Nicholas M. of Elyria. Additional survivors include four grandchildren; Haley, Cole, Zach, Karsyn, a sister; Diane Young (the late John) of LaGrange, two brothers; Ronald (Maureen) of Amhesrt, Paul (Dayle) of Montana. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; Gilbert and Roberta (nee: Stone) Komlosi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Saturday October 9, 2021 at St. Agnes Church 601 Lake Ave. Elyria where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Reverend Father Charles T. Diedrich, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Michael’s memory be sent to St. Agnes Church. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elyria (440)322-4626.
