Obituary for Harold V. Mudge

Harold V. Mudge, 91, of Elyria passed away Tuesday January 9, 2018 at his home following a long illness. He was born January 20, 1926 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Harold was employed as an electrician with the I.B.E.W. for 36 years, retiring in 1985. He was a United States Navy veteran and was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Elyria, the Elyria Elks Lodge #465, American Legion Post 12 and the Elyria Moose Lodge. Survivors include his daughter, Ida Mudge; son, Jerry (Cathy) Mudge); grandsons, Patrick and Nicholas Mudge; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Patty in 2012, sister, Marjorie Walker and brothers, Clarence and Bill Mudge. The family will receive friends Tuesday January 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Specialist 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Pastor Donald Brown will Officiate. Burial will be at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Township where members of V.F.W. Post 1079 will conduct full military honors.
