Obituary for Gale Jack Squires

Gale Jack Squires 83, of Lorain passed away at home on Sunday January 25, 2015 following a long illness. He was born June 24, 1931 in Newburg, WV. Gale served with the U.S. Navy, and was the founder, owner and operator of Jesco Products in Lorain. He was a member of St. Mary Church in Elyria, and AMVETS Post #32. Gale treasured spending time with his daughter and two granddaughters. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and loved his dogs. Survivors include his wife of forty five years; Eva A. (nee: Bellinger), a daughter; Mary Jane Taylor (Joseph) of Grafton, a stepson; Josef Bomback of Elyria, three grandchildren; Erika Taylor, Jessica Pool (Brandon), Alexis Bomback, and a sister; Martha Losciewicz of New London. Gale was preceded in death by his parents; Ross and Blanche (nee: Taylor) Squires, a sister Constance Hoover, and a brother; Victor Cress. Family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Wednesday January 28, 2015 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where closing prayers will be at 9:30 AM Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Thursday January 29, 2015 at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave. Elyria, OH 44035. Rev. Fr. Charles T. Diedrick, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon where AMVETS Post #32 will provide full military honors. Memorial contributions in Gale's memory can be sent to St. Mary Church Hall.
