Obituary for Carol J. Ware

Carol J. Ware, (nee-Smith), 68, of Elyria passed away Tuesday January 13, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic following a sudden illness. She was born July 5, 1946 in East Liverpool, OH. And was a Elyria resident for most of her life. Carol worked as a investigator for Lorain County Human Services for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and friends, cooking, exercising, and living life to the fullest. Survivors include her daughter, Maria Alfano-Cooper (David Cooper) of Elyria; son, Norman (Tracie) Alfano of Olmsted Twp.; grandchildren, Caitlin, Domenic, Giuliana, and Gabriella; sisters, Linda Smith and Shirley Wolfe; twin brother, Sonny Smith; companion, Peter Wiza. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ware and granddaughter, Abigail. The family will receive friends on Monday January 19, 2015 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday January 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). The Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private. In liue of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League 8303 South Murray Ridge Rd.
