Obituary for Barry Dennis Pyne

Barry Dennis Pyne, 70, of Elyria passed away Monday March 25, 2019 at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Barry was born in Hancock, MI. on March 26, 1948. He was a 1966 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School, attended Lorain County Community College, Baldwin Wallace University, and Myers College and holds a Bachelor of Arts. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in the United States Air Force from 1966 until 1971. Barry worked for MTD Products as a Quality Control Manager in Valley City for over 24 years and retired in 2013. He enjoyed his life spending time with family, reading and traveling. Barry was fortunate to visit Europe, Egypt, and the Philippines. He loved walking in the Lorain County Metro Parks and spending his summers with his grandsons. Barry is survived by his wife Milagros (nee-Barabicho) Pyne; daughters, Susan (Noel) Pyne-Torres and Dawn Pyne; grandsons, Roman and Crispin Torres. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Rosemary (nee-Beaucage) and William Henry Pyne. The family will receive friends on Friday March 29, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. A service will follow to remember and celebrate Barry’s life. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Burial will be private.
