Obituary for Anthony "Bones" Grisafo

Anthony "Bones" Grisafo 84, of Amherst passed away Tuesday May 15, 2018 at The Woods On French Creek in Avon following a long illness. He was born May 29, 1933 in Vandergrift, PA. Anthony served in the U.S. Air Force; and had worked as a Plasterer. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Lorain. Anthony loved watching old western movies, game and judge shows. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years; Gloria Kay (nee: Brocious) whom he married August 3, 1957, a daughter; Lori Summerville (Joe) of Amherst, two sons; Kevin (Lindsay) and Keith both of Avon. Additional survivors include seven grandchildren; Meggin, Ryan, Jillian, Heather, Tony, Kara, Hannah, four great grandchildren; Sean, Jayden, Isabelle, Ellia Ryan. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents; Alfred and Mary (nee: Vaccaro) Grisafo, two sisters; Helen and Teresa, two brothers; Joseph and Fred. The family will receive friends from 1-4 PM Sunday May 20, 2018 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) where V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors at 4:00 PM immediately following visitation. Burial will be private at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Anthony's memory be sent to Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church 1500 Lincoln Blvd Lorain, OH 44055 or Friendship APL 8303 Murray Ridge Rd. Elyria, OH 44035. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Sts.
